Amy Sigil es una fuerza innovadora del movimiento, la danza y la construcción de comunidad. Como directora y fundadora de UNMATA, la reconocida compañía de fusión belly dance con sede en Sacramento desde 2003, Amy ha llevado su energía explosiva a escenarios de todo el mundo. UNMATA fue galardonada como Campeona de Grupo Tribal en BDUC 2007 y ha brillado en festivales de renombre como Tribal Fest, The Spirit of the Tribes, Northern Migration, Tribal Quest Northwest y Tribal Café.

Amy Sigil is a powerhouse of innovation, movement, and community. As the director and founder of UNMATA, the Sacramento-based fusion belly dance troupe established around 2003, Amy has brought high-octane performances to stages around the world. UNMATA won the Tribal Group Champion title at BDUC 2007 and has been featured at premier events like Tribal Fest, The Spirit of the Tribes, Northern Migration, Tribal Quest Northwest, and Tribal Café.
Amy is also the creator of Improv Team Sync (ITS), a groundbreaking format of group improvisation rooted in shared vocabulary and cueing—where dancers perform in sync without predetermined choreography. ITS has become a global movement, taught and practiced by dance communities on nearly every continent.
With over 20 years of experience in movement coaching and dance education, Amy draws from belly dance, FatChanceBellyDance® (FCBD®), hula, hip hop, and more, offering dynamic workshops that emphasize teamwork, creativity, and radical inclusion. Terri Walden es una figura importante dentro de la escena del Tribal Bellydance, reconocida por ser la fundadora y directora de Salamat Tribal, un colectivo con base en Prescott, Arizona, que propone un estilo de danza tribal que combina elementos de danza árabe y improvisación grupal. Desarrolló su propio formato de improvisación tribal (ITS) en los Estados Unidos. Terri Walden is an important figure in the Tribal Bellydance scene, recognized as the founder and director of Salamat Tribal, a collective based in Prescott, Arizona, that offers a tribal dance style combining elements of Arabic dance and group improvisation. She developed her own format of tribal improvisation (ITS) in the United States. The purpose of this ITS is to create spaces to explore diverse cultures through dance and to empower other women.
Terri has also stood out as an international teacher: she offers Arabic and tribal dance workshops in various countries, certifies instructors in her style, and is part of the lineage of influential teachers for dancers working in ITS/Salamat Tribal styles. Her teaching has reached Spanish-speaking communities, as seen in Mexico, where her style has served as a foundation for training Tribal Bellydance instructors.

Myra Krien ha sido una fuerza transformadora en la danza, no solo como intérprete, sino como visionaria en la creación de comunidad a través del arte. Con sede en Santa Fe, Nuevo México, dirige Pomegranate Studios, donde fusiona tradición, innovación y propósito social. Uno de sus logros más impactantes es la fundación del programa Pomegranate SEEDs (Autoestima, Empoderamiento y Educación a través de la Danza), una iniciativa de mentoría juvenil que utiliza la danza como herramienta para el crecimiento personal, el liderazgo y el cambio comunitario.
Myra también lidera la Mosaic Dance Company, una compañía diversa y comprometida con la excelencia artística y el diálogo intercultural. Ha actuado en escenarios de renombre en Estados Unidos, abierto para el guitarrista Ottmar Liebert, y aparecido en medios como PBS y la televisión japonesa. Su trabajo ha sido celebrado por publicaciones como Dance Magazine, Bliss Magazine y The Santa Fean.

Myra Krien has been a transformative force in dance—not only as a performer, but as a visionary in building community through the arts. Based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, she directs Pomegranate Studios, where she fuses tradition, innovation, and social purpose. One of her most impactful achievements is founding the Pomegranate SEEDs program (Self-Esteem, Empowerment, and Education through Dance), a youth mentorship initiative that uses dance as a tool for personal growth, leadership, and community change.
Myra also leads the Mosaic Dance Company, a diverse company committed to artistic excellence and intercultural dialogue. She has performed on renowned stages across the United States, opened for guitarist Ottmar Liebert, and appeared on outlets such as PBS and Japanese television. Her work has been featured in publications like Dance Magazine, Bliss Magazine, and The Santa Fean.
Among her many honors are the Mayor’s Award for Excellence in the Arts from the city of Santa Fe (2019), along with multiple Best of Santa Fe accolades, including “Best Dance Company” and “Best Studio” (2018–2019).

Akasha es bailarina originaria de Querétaro con 14 años de trayectoria en las danzas orientales, especializada en estilo tribal, danzas gitanas y fusiones contemporáneas. Egresada de la 7ª Generación de Maestras del Tribal, ha desarrollado una propuesta escénica y pedagógica sólida, combinando técnica, emoción y creatividad. Desde 2016 dirige Akashas Bellydance, escuela desde la cual imparte clases, talleres y cursos a nivel nacional, compartiendo su visión del movimiento como una herramienta de conexión y expresión profunda. Su trabajo destaca por el respeto a las raíces y la constante búsqueda de evolución en el arte de la danza.
Akasha is a dancer from Querétaro with 14 years of experience in Oriental dance, specializing in tribal style, Gypsy dances, and contemporary fusions. A graduate of the 7th Generation of Tribal Teachers, she has developed a solid stage and teaching approach, combining technique, emotion, and creativity. Since 2016, she has directed Akashas Bellydance, a school through which she offers classes, workshops, and courses nationwide, sharing her vision of movement as a tool for deep connection and expression. Her work stands out for its respect for the roots and a constant pursuit of evolution in the art of dance.

Alejandra Montes de Macossay es pintora, diseñadora y maestra de danza con una sólida trayectoria en las artes. Inició su camino dancístico en la danza folklórica mexicana, y más adelante amplió su formación a través de diversos talleres de danza y teatro. Completó el diplomado “Maestras del Tribal”, profundizando en el estilo de Tribal Belly Dance. Alejandra es directora de Moloch Tribal, compañía pionera en introducir este estilo en Yucatán. También es creadora del festival Noche de Catrinas, que celebra 13 ediciones consecutivas, compartiendo esta hermosa tradición tanto a nivel nacional como internacional.
Alejandra Montes de Macossay is a painter, designer, and dance teacher with a rich background in the arts. She began her dance journey with Mexican folkloric dance, later expanding her training through various dance and theater workshops. She completed the “Maestras del Tribal” diploma program, deepening her expertise in Tribal Belly Dance. Alejandra is the director of Moloch Tribal, a pioneering dance company in Yucatán known for introducing Tribal style to the region. She is also the creator of Noche de Catrinas, a festival now in its 13th consecutive year, sharing this beautiful tradition both nationally and internationally.

Está formada en diversos estilos de Tribal Belly Dance, incluyendo fusión e improvisación, y cuenta con certificaciones en Datura Style, FCBD, Divine Chaos Skirt Format, The Siren Project (abanico y mantón), Improv Team Sync y Maestras del Tribal. Carla Medusa is a dancer from Tijuana with a leaning toward darkness and intense expression. She is trained in various styles of Tribal Belly Dance, including fusion and improvisation, and holds certifications in Datura Style, FCBD, Divine Chaos Skirt Format, The Siren Project (fan and shawl), Improv Team Sync, and Maestras del Tribal. She is a teacher and director of Medusa Fusion Belly Dance, where she shares her passion and technique. In addition, she is a yoga instructor and a member of the contemporary dance company Encontra2 Danza Contemporánea, integrating movement and awareness into her artistic practice.

Ana Gaby Flores es bailarina y docente con más de 15 años de experiencia en Bellydance y sus fusiones. Se ha formado con maestros nacionales e internacionales y mantiene una constante capacitación, explorando estilos como tribal y Bollywood. Imparte clases en su propio espacio y en diversos foros, además de haber sido invitada como tallerista y sinodal en la escuela Raks Sharki Monterrey. Es creadora de Bellyween, un evento anual que reúne a escuelas y bailarines de distintas disciplinas para compartir, integrarse y celebrar la danza con creatividad y sentido de comunidad.
Ana Gaby Flores is a dancer and instructor with over 15 years of experience in Bellydance and its fusions. She has trained with both national and international teachers and continues to pursue ongoing education, exploring styles such as Tribal and Bollywood. She teaches classes in her own space and at various venues, and has also been invited as a workshop instructor and examiner at the Raks Sharki Monterrey school. Gabriela Oniria, originaria de Toluca, Estado de México, es bailarina, maestra y apasionada estudiosa de las danzas orientales y sus fusiones. Ha sido alumna de reconocidos maestros tanto nacionales como internacionales, y ha representado a México en festivales como Migrations (Texas) y Fusion Evolution (Chicago). Ha participado en destacadas producciones como The Return de Myra Krien y Alice in Wonderland de Jillina Carlano. Es la primera persona en el mundo en obtener los niveles 2 y 3 de la certificación Dance Cohesion Certified Teacher. Gabriela Oniria, originally from Toluca, State of Mexico, is a dancer, teacher, and passionate student of Oriental dance and its fusions. She has studied under renowned national and international instructors and has represented Mexico at festivals such as Migrations (Texas) and Fusion Evolution (Chicago). She has performed in notable productions such as The Return by Myra Krien and Alice in Wonderland by Jillina Carlano. She is the first person in the world to obtain levels 2 and 3 of the Dance Cohesion Certified Teacher certification. Jesica Or es bailarina especializada en danza del vientre y estilo tribal, y forma parte de la primera generación de maestras certificadas por Elsanne. Su pasión por la danza se transformó con la maternidad, integrando el movimiento con la crianza respetuosa. En 2018 se certificó en danza con bebé, fusionando su experiencia artística con el vínculo madre-hijo. Para complementar su labor, se formó como asesora de porteo ergonómico en la reconocida escuela alemana Die Trageschule. Su trabajo promueve el bienestar físico y emocional a través del movimiento, creando espacios donde la danza y la maternidad se encuentran con sensibilidad y conciencia.
Jesica Or is a dancer specialized in belly dance and tribal style, and is part of the first generation of teachers certified by Elsanne. Her passion for dance was transformed by motherhood, integrating movement with respectful parenting. In 2018, she became certified in babywearing dance, combining her artistic experience with the mother-child bond. To complement her work, she trained as an ergonomic babywearing consultant at the renowned German school Die Trageschule. Her work promotes physical and emotional well-being through movement, creating spaces where dance and motherhood come together with sensitivity and awareness.

Lunah es bailarina, actriz, maestra e investigadora especializada en Danza Tribal, Raqs Sharqi y Danza Medieval. Egresada de la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras de la U.N.A.M. como actriz profesional, también se formó en la 1ª generación de Maestras del Tribal y cuenta con certificación en General Skills por FCBD. Desde 2011 dirige y creó Dansãria da Lûa, el único ensamble profesional de Danzas Medievales en México. Ha estudiado en Estados Unidos, España, Bélgica, Alemania, Holanda y Turquía, con maestras como Carolena Nericcio, Rachel Brice, Paulette Rees-Denis y muchas más. Lunah is a dancer, actress, teacher, and researcher specialized in Tribal Dance, Raqs Sharqi, and Medieval Dance. She graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy and Literature at U.N.A.M. as a professional actress, was part of the first generation of Tribal Teachers, and holds a General Skills certification from FCBD. Since 2011, she has directed and founded Dansãria da Lûa, the only professional Medieval Dance ensemble in Mexico. She has studied in the United States, Spain, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, and Turkey with instructors such as Carolena Nericcio, Rachel Brice, Paulette Rees-Denis, among many others. Sandra Cuevas es bailarina, maestra y directora con una sólida trayectoria en Tribal Fusión y ATS. Inició su camino en la danza en 2008 con Raqs Sharqi en Guadalajara y, un año después, se adentró en el mundo del Tribal con Alina Paredes. De 2011 a 2015 se formó con Shewi Galindo y Tracy Rhaj, y complementó su aprendizaje con maestras como Sonia Ochoa y Kristine Adams. En 2016 obtuvo la certificación “Maestras del Tribal” con Elsanne Barrows. Fundó Prismata en 2017 y cofundó Bruxas Academia en 2021. Actualmente dirige Tribu Prismata, enfocada en la enseñanza y difusión del Tribal en Guadalajara.
Sandra Cuevas is a dancer, teacher, and director with a solid background in Tribal Fusion and ATS. She began her dance journey in 2008 with Raqs Sharqi in Guadalajara, and a year later, she delved into the world of Tribal with Alina Paredes. From 2011 to 2015, she trained with Shewi Galindo and Tracy Rhaj, and further enriched her learning with teachers such as Sonia Ochoa and Kristine Adams. In 2016, she earned the “Maestras del Tribal” certification with Elsanne Barrows. She founded Prismata in 2017 and co-founded Bruxas Academia in 2021. She currently leads Tribu Prismata, focused on teaching and promoting Tribal dance in Guadalajara.
